Higher Education in Turkey
At the end of the first semester in Turkey (in January) pupils and students have a fifteen-day holiday after an education with a week of holiday in November.
As I have been living in Istanbul for many years, I have something to tell you.
A higher education is not in all cases free and there’s a point rating system. It lets matriculants get grands for passing exams successfully and prioritize three establishments to be accepted or not by them. Universities are interested in academically successful students so they offer them scholarships with partial tuition payments (25-75%).
Istanbul is truly considered to be a student city. There were approx up to 3 millions students from all over the world studying before the pandemiс.
Interesting fact: there is a good potential for accommodation facilities in the proximity to the higher educational establishments in Istanbul in terms of leasing them out to students as they require it for 2-4 years at least.
In my opinion, higher education in Turkey is more than worthy! Many universities are in the top of the world ratings and their students get amazing positions.
